New Research Shows Busiest and Quietest Times to Visit the Gym


Experts at Set For Set analyzed Google data to determine which times are most popular and least popular at gyms across the United States.

According to the research, the busiest time to visit the gym is Tuesday at 5 p.m. followed by Monday at 5 p.m. and Tuesday at 6 p.m. The quietest time is Sunday at 11 p.m. followed by Sunday at 10 p.m. and Saturday ay 11 p.m.

“Overall, fitness enthusiasts prefer to stick to workouts on evenings and start the week off with exercise, this leaving room for a relaxing weekend,” Set For Set said. “However, those with occupations that affect their sleep schedule, such as night shift workers, could particularly benefit from visiting the gum at the quietest times as it’s more likely that machines and equipment will be available.”

Set For Set also encouraged people to plan exercise sessions in advance, stick to full-body workouts, socialize while working out and eat healthy foods to stick to their fitness goals and compensate for busy schedules.

Acknowledging the busiest and quietest times with these findings can help you plan your workouts and allow you to take advantage of a peaceful exercise space,” Set For Set said. “It’s interesting to see that many Americans prefer to start off their week with a workout, with Monday and Tuesday being popular days to head to the gym, so, if you find the gym much less stressful when it isn’t too busy, working out in the middle of the week or on a weekend will be much more suitable.”
